1% Change - Roundup

Instead of implementing another 1% change for this coming week, I thought I'd do a quick update on my 1% changes from past weeks.  Considering I'm still struggling (and sometimes failing) to adhere to my past 1% changes, I thought it'd be good to take a week off. :)

Here they are:

1. Resist one dessert per day
Well...this is going ok.  Some days I do resist a dessert...others I do not.  I have been working on being more cautious of how much I really am craving a dessert, and I try to only give in if I'm really craving and not just looking for something to eat for entertainment.

2. Read my Bible at least once per day
Again, this is going just ok.  I definitely read my Bible more than I was prior to this 1% change, but I'm still not on top of it.  It's still not a daily thing like it should be.  So this needs a little more work.

3. Remember that God is the perfect parent, and I am to love brokenly
I must admit that I had totally forgotten that this was even one of my 1% changes.  Obviously it's time to focus on it again. :)

4. Replace desserts with ice pops
I'm actually doing pretty well with this one.  I've stocked up on twenty (yes twenty) boxes of Kool-Aid freezer pops (because they have the fewest calories of any I've seen - and they were at the dollar store for [surprise!] a dollar each) and I've been chowing away (when I definitely feel the craving, per 1% Change #1 up there).  They really are delicious.

5. Work on having a servant attitude in my marriage
This one still needs some work.  Just as with #3, I'd sort of forgotten about it.  Gosh. :(

6. Start exercising at least 3 times per week
This is actually going pretty well so far.  For, ya know, the one week I've been doing it.  But yeah, I've worked out four times in the last week.  Whoo hoo.

As you can see, I've still got plenty of work to do with the 1% Changes I've already selected for myself.  No need to add on quite yet. :)

If you'd like to join in on 1% Changes, head on over to Naptime Diaries every Wednesday to seek some accountability and support! :)
