Today a Christian psychiatrist recommended some books to me that are intended for Christian married couples. He said he really liked all three and thought they contained very important concepts for marriage. I thought I would share.
I'll be reading all three over the next month (hopefully) so if anyone would like to share thoughts/ideas let me know. :)
Here they are, in no particular order:

Petfinder.com
Just called the vet. Rogan was spayed yesterday (thank GOODness!!) and she's doing just fine. So di-Oh-gee numero dos will be home soon...minus the female symptoms. Yay! :)
I want to highly recommend using petfinder.com to find yourself a new pet. Most people automatically go to the local SPCA or Humane Society...but petfinder.com has all the dogs at small rescues. That's how I found Rogan. She was so friendly and small...she would have been gone in one day at the SPCA. (I know this because I used to volunteer there.) But she was at Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital, where I got her, for a month! I don't know how much of that time she was being advertised, since they had to give her vaccines and get rid of ticks and stuff first, but still. She's wonderful. So if anyone would like a pet...any pet, because petfinder.com lets you pick the type of animal you want (along with age, size, gender, and even breed), you should definitely look on petfinder.com. Even my mom, who needs another dog about as much as I need a sixth toe on my left foot, found a dog she wants. So check it out. :)

What are the chances??
So guess what I discovered tonight!!! (Well, actually, Sam discovered it.)
Rogan isn't spayed!!
I'm like, are you kidding me??? The rescue said she was!!! How could this possibly happen to me with TWO dogs??
(For those of you who don't know, when I got Maggie, I was told she was spayed. But she wasn't and I had to deal with doggie periods until I had enough money to pay to get her fixed. And now, it's happened AGAIN!!! What are the chances of that??)
Luckily Sam noticed the evidence on our easily cleanable leather couch, and I was able to get Rogan into the kitchen and tied to our island before any damage was done.
Poor pup. She's got the energy of 15 two-year-olds and only a 3-ft diameter circle where she can walk and play.
The rescue WILL be getting a call from me tomorrow!!
Grrr.

Married life and our "kids"
I am now officially a married woman. :) Married life is so much better than engaged life!! Haha. Much less stressful without a wedding to plan. I'm enjoying it.
The wedding went very smoothly. Very few mishaps, which was wonderful. Dave couldn't get my ring on my finger during the ceremony, but it helped lighten the mood when I exclaimed under my breath, "Just shove it on!!!" Apparently I said it loud enough for some of the congregation to catch. Haha, whoops.
Our choreographed dance that we learned for our first dance also went beautifully, as you can see below.
More pictures from the wedding can be seen here: http://meganwphotography.wordpress.com/
(You might have to scroll down a bit to find us.)
More pics coming soon!!
The honeymoon went great the first day. Then Dave got food poisoning and the rest was not-so-much fun. I mean it wasn't bad...I got to relax and lay at the pool, but it's sad that it wasn't with my new husband. He did feel well enough to go scuba diving on Thursday morning, which was great. It was probably the neatest thing I've ever experienced in my life. But then it was back to the bed except for dinner, and Friday we left. The poor guy is still recovering a week later. We had an underwater camera when we went scuba diving, so I'll have to share pics when we get them developed.
And the newest news since then is that we might (probably) be getting another "kid"...a new dog. :) Her name is Rogan, and she's the same size as Maggie. She is the sweetest thing ever and her tail never stops wagging. She and Maggie seem to get along well...we got to take Rogan home for a trial run to see how things would work. Although Maggie is willing to play with Rogan occasionally and share her couch, she is definitely maintaining her status as a stuck-up princess. Haha they are funny to watch together. Rogan is incredibly happy-go-lucky ready to give anyone lovins, totally in your face...and Maggie is more like...well, like me. When she's happy, she's happy, when she wants to give lovins, she gives lots of them. But when she's not, usually because she's not getting her way, she prefers to sit and pout, look incredibly pathetic, and snub any dog that tries to play with her or any people who try to give her love. Below are some pics...the top two are Rogan (pics from petfinder.com) and the bottom two are Maggie (and Dave).
Well I guess that's about it for now. I'm looking forward to a long 4th July weekend so I can do some stuff around the house and practice being a wife. :)
Ta ta for now.
