I've been a busy woman lately and haven't had a ton of time for blogging. But this morning I wanted to share just one small quote that I find to be greatly significant and life-changing if truly taken to heart.
In my women's Bible study, we are reading the book "Calm My Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow. Chapter 3 discusses Psalm 139, which tells us that God intimately knows each of us and lovingly created us just as he wants us. Dillow shares a quote from George MacDonald, the man C.S. Lewis called his mentor:
"I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of; for to have been thought about, born in God's thought, and then made by God, is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking."
Wow. To take that to heart and live it in truth would surely change my outlook in many days and situations.
What about you? Which would you rather be?
