Some Tidbits

Just a few tidbits I wanted to share.

First off, there's this cool quiz that my friend Kristin filled me in on.  It's through the magazine Real Simple, and it tells you if you're right-brained or left-brained.  I was exactly a 50/50 split, which I thought was pretty cool.  Check it out:

Which side do you think with?

Second, I found this recipe that I am SOOO excited to try.  Does anyone else like eating cookie dough?  Cuz I love it.  Well, this recipe is for a mix that supposedly tastes like cookie dough but is actually healthy for you. You mix together cottage cheese, almond butter, and banana.  Sounds crazy, doesn't it?  Actually, it sounds kinda gross to me, haha.  But I have to try to it, because if I found something healthy to fulfill my cookie dough cravings, that would be splendid.   I'll have to let you know what I think. :)

And third, but most importantly, via the networking in Facebook I discovered that a married couple from my high school are in dire need of prayers.  I went to a small, tight-knit high school, where everyone knew everyone.  Even though I wasn't incredibly close with either of these people, my heart goes out to them.  They just discovered that the husband in the relationship, Nate, has an extremely rare tumor in his abdomen that is threatening his life.  The chances of it occurring are apparently 1 in 3 million.  Although I never really knew Nate, I did know his wife, Holly, and the thought of what she's going through right now makes me want to cry.  You can read about what's happening on the website they have set up:  www.nathanjpelz.com.  Check it out, and send up prayers...a lot of prayers.

  2. Ha! I'm an even split too - so I guess I think with both sides of my brain! Ha. I kind of suspected I was, because when I looked at the subsequent pictures of different organizing methods for both kinds of people, i liked both ways of doing it. This could actually make things more complicated . . .
I'll say a prayer for Nate and Holly. That would be so hard.
